Short CV
I was born in Barcelona, in 1963.
I received my Telecommunication Engineer degree in 1986 and my PhD degree in Mathematics in 1994,
both from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
I was a lecturer in the Department of Applied Mathematics IV
at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 1986 to 1997.
I'm an associate professor in the same department since 1997.
Currently, my research focuses in Cryptology.
I belong to the Research Group on
Mathematics Applied to Cryptography.
Now, I am interested mainly in Public Key Cryptography.
I was formerly a member of the Research Group on Graph Theory and Combinatorics
in the same department from 1986 to 1994.
I began my research activities in this group as a PhD student.
At that time, I was also interested in some aspects of experimental solid state physics as
non linearity measurements in piezoceramic materials,
applications of the piezoelectric transformer to energy conversion and
conductivity and thermoelectric power measurements in transition metal oxides and high Tc superconductors.
