The main character of L'encàrrec del vell Hayyam is Rachid, a berber youngster who lives in a small village in the Atlas mountains. An evening, he is asked to decode the mysterious meaning of a graphic representation and to find a crystal bottle which is hidden somewhere in the city of Marrakech.
Rachid's journey leads him to discover worlds previously unknown to him: the chaotic narrow alleys of the Medina, the market places, the Arabic baths, the Jewish quarter… And above all, the intriguing world of graphic representations. | |||
